Weight Loss Balloon Patient featured on The Dr. Oz Show on November 20th, 2015
On November 20th, recent weight loss surgery patient, Kelly, made an appearance to discuss her current success with the weight loss balloon.
Kelly joined Dr. Michael Snyder on stage just a few weeks after she had the weight loss balloon placed in her stomach. Kelly explains, “The first few days I was nauseous and very tired because of the medications I was on, which helped me to relax, but I was back at work the third day.”
In just two weeks, Kelly lost 13 pounds and had already noticed a difference in her eating habits. Before the procedure, she was geared toward eating three big meals a day, but now focuses on eating healthy snacks throughout the day.
Dr. Michael Synder proceeds to tell viewers about who would be considered a good candidate for the procedure.
Possible ORBERA™ Gastric Balloon Candidates Include:- Individuals willing to commit to a year-long lifestyle and behavioral change
- Those who have a BMI between 30 and 40
- Those who may not be a qualified candidate for more invasive surgeries
As for side effects, Dr. Michael Synder recommends taking about three days off as patients can experience nausea, feeling full, cramping, ulcers or esophageal injury after receiving the weight loss balloon procedure.
